One of the most scenic of all the roads we've taken was Utah Hwy. 128, from interstate 70 to Moab. It runs for 36 miles along the Colorado river and offers ever changing views of narrow canyons as well as long vistas into the western part of the Rocky Mountains and the northern part of the Colorado Plateau. Although partly narrow and winding, and therefore challenging to drive with our 55-ft long truck/trailer set, this road was truly one of the highlights of our tour. But see for yourself:

Our trailer takes the entire width of our side of the highway |
On a hike into a side canyon, we encountered a number of still frozen little waterfalls.

At the end of the trail, a 200-ft wide natural bridge |
